Love this laughing planet! Not sure what everyone is saying about service being bad. I have an incredible experience every time I come here!

Went here tonight for the first time, and it was amazing! Awesome tasting food (we got burritos, burrito bowls, and quesadillas), and we especially loved that there was lots of organic and local options. The grass-feed beef was so good, very tender and full of flavor. There was a great patio with lots of seating, and we love that it's bistro style. We'll definitely be regulars here I think!

I'll gladly edit my review to reflect my more positive insights of the restaurant just as soon as they ADD A PHONE ORDER PICK-UP LINE like all other quick pick-up restaurants. Every time we order we have to wait behind a crowd of people who are placing their orders and eating on the premises. By the time we get to the register, we are frustrated and annoyed... There's little point in ordering to-go. Soon we may start skipping LP for more convenient places.

Laughing Planet is an oasis in the land of non-vegan, non-vegetarian, overpriced unhealthy food. You can eat well here even if you are NOT a vegetarian. Delicious burritos or bowls of veggies, grains, soy protein, beans and sauces; soups; quesadillas; chili; salads; smoothies; beer; wine and cookies. Generous portions (two meals in one for US). Be prepared for children! Loud but well behaved and we are glad to see a place parents can take kids that is healthy and affordable. Outside seating area is dog friendly too. Easy parking, clean, friendly awesome young people working there.

I had my wisdom teeth out and this place saved my life!! The mashed potatoes were about the only thing I could munch down at the time. I had there's, and I was hooked! They Had cheese in them... Yum!! There Spankys bowl is now my new favorite thing. I'm really happy I found this place, great variety and fun atmosphere.

Very happy to have Laughing Planet in Lake Oswego even though it is smaller than many of the other locations. The quality of food is consistently delicious and the staff is friendly. A great place to go for casual dining and fresh, healthy food.

Order the Marionberry ginger smoothie if you have a cold and need a kick, you won't regret it. Real berries, real ginger, really amazing! I gotta come back to try other stuff. So glad this moved into the LO 'hood.

Laughing Planet looked promising on the menu and the ingredients are good quality, organic, locally sourced, non GMO and all that. BUT, the food is seriously lacking flavor. It was a big disappointment because the food looked appetizing. The sad truth is the taste just isn't there. We tried the Korean BBQ bowl with tofu and the Hole Mole burrito with chicken. We also tried the chips and salsa as well as the fresh guacamole. Our beverages were a Peach Chia smoothie and an Apricot hard cider. You know there's a problem when the drinks are the best and tastiest part of the meal. The bowl was overdressed and ended up being soupy at the end but still had very little flavor. The burrito was a good size and had a decent amount of chicken in it but it simply didn't taste like anything at all. We tried both the red and green salsas which could have been iceberg lettuce blended with water if you tasted them blindfolded. Is this why they call it the Laughing Planet? This has to be a joke, right!? The chips had zero salt on them and we got a melon ball sized scoop of guacamole for $1.75 which is a total rip off (two whole avocados might run that much at Freddy's). The service was friendly but, unfortunately, that doesn't help the food taste better. Hell, I'd settle for it tasting like SOMETHING even. I'd give it 3 stars if the expected flavors were present and if they didn't have signs pressuring you into bussing your own table. Remind me again exactly what the tip I left at the register was for while I'm bussing my own table. Anybody???

Understaffed, slow, casual. Dude cooking scratched his head while cooking, kinda gross.

  • Jane D.

Pretty good healthy food... Kind of expensive and smallish portions but I do like the food mostly I think their seasonal bowls are usually where it's at. I find their Mexican food kind of meh.

Loved the organic/pastured meat idea here. Friendly service and clean location. But, definitely not impressed with the actual food so far. Many of the ingredients were missing in our to-go order for 4 people....and ALL of the sauces except one. When we got home, we were excited to eat but immediately so bummed when we actually saw the food. Looked like it was made by a picky toddler who took out all the good stuff. What gives Laughing Planet? Is this why you are laughing? When we were ordering, I asked if there was any gluten in the "homemade" soup. The cashier pulled out an ingredients list of 40+ items in this particular soup, many including unnatural items like Carrageenan, which is just terrible for health. Disappointing.

Really healthy, organic, local food. Decent prices. Nice people. Great service. Kind of like Portland. Tried several different bowls. They were all pretty good. VERY HEALTHY. They did forget my chili in my to go order.... called them back and they offered to give me two. I wasn't very far so drove back. They offered me an extra chili but I didn't want two, so they gave me a few cookies instead when I went back. Chili was just so-so.

Great, love it, totally improved! Yeah! Happy for them and me! Go here for healthy, reasonably-priced food. Many times cheaper than cooking...

I had heard really good things about laughing planet so I figured I would give it a try. I had the Thai ricebowl with chicken, steamed broccoli, and peanut sauce. It was excellent. I loved the fact that it had brown rice and was healthy. All the veggies were fresh. I also has a chocolate cookie for dessert. It was excellent, very chocolaty tasting. I would definitely go here again. Everything on the menu looked delicious and I can't wait to go there again

Food is ok and for diet restrictive. I just noticed the microwaves so much for being fresh. The service is awful.

Healthy? Reasonably priced? Kid-friendly? NW micro brews? Check, check, check, and check. Hard to find a restaurant that hits on all of these attributes south of Portland. 100% grass fed beef, free range chicken, and kombucha on tap are big pluses in my book. It's also great that they have dinosaurs on the tables for the kiddos to play with, it keeps them out of mom and dad's hair. We usually get the Amazing Grace quesadilla and the Bubba burrito, which are both really solid choices. At this price point, along with the other great perks, you can't go wrong with a visit to LP.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
